BACKGROUND
Mario is a proud husband, father of three boys, mentor, speaker, and musician dedicated to sharing the transformative love of God, giving hope, and inspiring others to rise above their challenges. His journey began in a dramatically different reality, one covered in darkness and trapped in the grip of crime and addiction, leading to his first incarceration at just 15 years old. For the next decade, he battled a cycle of jail, violence, and hopelessness, with a future that seemed destined for tragedy—until he had a powerful encounter with the love of Jesus that shattered his darkness and filled him with hope and purpose.
MISSION
This life-changing experience ignited Mario’s passion for helping others find their way, leading him to become a mentor for those facing similar battles. Tragically, his path took a heart-wrenching turn with the unexpected loss of his brother to an overdose. Just one week after his brother’s funeral, Mario learned that his seven-year-old son had been diagnosed with a rare vascular disease requiring two brain surgeries. This challenge deepened his grief, as the weight of loss and fear for his son’s future rocked him to his core.

Yet, this turmoil ignited a fierce determination in Mario to honor his brother’s memory and share their stories. He believes that through God’s grace, our deepest pain can be transformed into purpose, and he aims to be a source of hope for others, lighting the way.
